Carissa Larson is Alutiiq/Sugpiaq and was raised in Kodiak and Chignik Bay in a family of commercial fishermen, with family roots in Perryville and Dillingham. She is a communications professional with experience across nonprofit and Alaska Native Corporation spaces.
As Communciations Director, Carissa supports communications efforts grounded in community voice, cultural values, and relationship-building. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Afognak Native Corporation. She brings a commitment to strengthening narratives that foster connection, trust, and collective action.
