First Nations Futures Program 2024
We are excited to announce the 2024 dates of our First Nations Futures Fellowship Program in our partnership with with Aotearoa (New Zealand), Hawai’i, and Stanford University.
This years fellowship cohort will take place February 18 – March 3, 2024 beginning at the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawai`i and will conclude on March 3, 2024 at the East-West Center on the campus of the University of Hawai`i-Mānoa.
Six Alaska Native Fellows will be selected based on an application and review process. In order to be considered, prospective fellows need to submit a completed application consisting of ALL of the following:
- Completed application form
- 1 page cover letter stating your interest
- Resume reflecting employment, education, community service/leadership activities - limit to 2 pages or less
- (3) Three references listed with full name and current contact information: 1 personal reference from someone that knows you well & 2 professional or community references from individuals such as another community member, colleague or peer, teacher, professor or employer
- 350 word written Personal Essay OR 2 Minute Video Essay/digital story responding to the following question: How does your passion, work, and/or commitment link to advancing our Native peoples towards healthy, sustainable communities and cultures?
