Putuuqti is Iñupiaq and was raised in Kotzebue until his family moved to Fairbanks right before high school. Putuuqti has a degree in Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2024, Putuuqti ran for State House to represent the interior in the Alaska State Legislature. Having worked in education, science, and the trades, he is excited to bring his diverse background and skillset to FAI and to advocate for our Peoples, elevate their voices, and help protect our ways of life for future generations.
