Bella Block
ANPC Civic Engagement Coordinator

Izabella (Bella) Block is originally from South Dakota, but she moved to Alaska as a child and considers it home. She has a B.S. in both Anthropology and Biological Sciences, as well as a M.P.P. in Public Policy from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is interested in the intersection of human-environment systems, with an emphasis on the Arctic and Alaska so both people and environment can thrive. For her Master’s thesis, her work was dedicated to analyzing maritime policy in the Bering Strait region, with the ultimate goal of promoting safe maritime activity while prioritizing communities in the region. In her spare time you can find her outside exploring Alaska, traveling, reading, crafting, or shooting photography.
