As we at First Alaskans Institute reflect on the work that has been done this year, we are reminded of our many friends and partners and the role that each of you play in these accomplishments. Thank you! Whether it was a summer internship, community investment award, or an energy discussion, we have worked to provide opportunities for healthy and thriving communities and to raise awareness around the issues that are important to our Native community.
Our values - integrity, collaboration, use of traditional knowledge, responsibility and excellence - reflect the work we do. Our programs in Leadership Development, Community Investments, and initiatives through our Alaska Native Policy Center mirror both our mission and our values. We take great pride in our work as being a collaborator, catalyst, and convener around issues impacting Alaska Natives and our state.
As many other non-profit organizations around the nation, we have been significantly impacted by the current economy. We need your help to carry-out the important work we do. Please consider making a meaningful gift to support our programs. With your help, we can continue making a difference in the lives of Alaskan Native peoples and all Alaskans.
In 2009, make issues impacting Alaska Native people and the state of Alaska a priority and become a Friend of First Alaskans.
